week 14 - Summary

The Semester is over, and today we have a preview show of the video's created by arts Management department. To tell the truth, I would like to say, that our group had a very successful results, all with a scene of esthetics, adapted the atmosphere of music, and some were especially added up with humour.
This semester helped me to learn something new compared to previous practicums. First of all, this time we had a challenge to create a music video. Which means the story had to be connected to background music. Therefore, it took time to search for the right Idea. It was also useful to understand what are those strategies that are useful to take into consideration when creating a video and how to be able to implement those ideas in video production.
The most important outcome of this semester studies, was the importance of the quality of the camera and equipment used for shooting. Due to the fact that we had no chance to use the most high quality cameras, we missed the better estheticall experience  of all the videos. However, at the same time almost all videos were distinguished by the perfect play of the crew.On the other hand,I  found it very challenging to create the whole concept, develop the story line. In order to be on time, the video had to be thoroughly over thought and therefore every step was discussed in the group, analyses and afterwards approved. I believe it was a good experience, that I can further implement in my career.

week 13

Today we successfully finished our video. With addition of several special effect, we succeed to make it  more funny. Therefore we made it sepia, with addition of funny talking boxes.
This time we can say we successfully implemented our abilities and technical equipment, which resulted in a outworked video. Unfortunately, due to the fact that we did not receive the copyright for the music, we have no chance to publish it, therefore we only had a chance to show it at our class which will be next week 17th January.

week 12

On week 11 our team continued to record the video scenes at school and continued with outdoor scenes.  On the move we came up with new challenges. Due to the fact that video is going to be only 3 mintes and some our scenes are more than 40 seconds, we decided to speed up the videos so that it will create an effect of moving student life.
Within this week we were especially successful, in my opinion, in recording the argument of what is first egg or chicken. Which was shot in a funny and interactive way. In order to be illustrative we printed out the images of both a chicken and egg . Me and Irina were the main playing crew, however Valerias foot could also be seen in the last frame.

In addition to that we finished editing the indoor scenes, and  shot one of the final frames the dinner.Therefore  on week 12 class we continued editing the raw materials. Today we will also finish shooting the last scenes of the morning frames. In order to be ready for next week to present our final result.

week 11 - success

Due to the failure of the smartphone video quality we started to try out the qualities of our school cameras, which turned out to be perfect for our idea. Within this week we continued to shoot new stories, and reshooted nedded materials. In addition  to that we started to edit the raw material of outdoor and in school shoots in the Pinackel and successeded to finish half of our storyboar scenes.
We tried out the effects, the one we found was perfect for our plans. We did not want the to input kitchy effects, but wanted something that will resemble the closing of the personal eyes do to the fact that camera is personalised in our video.
We tryied the ironic scenes and they worked very well, especially the scene with the who is the first egg or chiken argument. It was fun to shoot the scene, and being involved in acting.
The new strategy was found that the all of three of us will exchange the recponsibilities of camre woman and the actros playing, therefore making the video wore interesting and funny in the way. Since now it became the One day story of three IBS girls.  

week 10 - trying out recording devices

Week ten for our group was devoted to finding the right recording device for our music idea. At the first time we - our group together with our supervisor Andras decided that the best would be if we could shoot from the mobile device. Therefore, we started searching for the  best quality smartphone devices that could be used to record the one day of the student.
We thought it will bring the felling of everyday life of a usual student, as it was shooted from their point of you. As we know the smartphones became part of our lives, so why not to do it the eye of our lives. We tried out the Iphone camera, and Sony Ericson Xperia, where the letter one showed the better dimentions of video recording.
We started to shoot the cuts of our video, using our story board. From this time we devided our responsibilitie within the group and Valeria - became responsible for the presence of story board, and I was responsible for the logistics of the cameras, due to the fact that Sony was the phone of one of our best friends. The raw material was afterwards edited in Pinackle and we found out a majour problem of the video editing soft ware. It turned out that after editing the raw material the qualitiy of the video became worse.
Therefore we decided to solve this problem, and from now using the IBS small cameras.
The outcome of the Monday class were several shoots that were not damaged by the quality after video editing, and we draw our plans for next week to continue shooting.

Within this Class we also created more illustrative story board , and introduced new ideas.
As it come out, we decided to shoot Valeria, because in our opinion she is not only good in performing, but has an interesting character.

Therefore the main actress of our story will be Valeria, and other students (mainly our friends)
The scenes will be made at home, in the school and outdoor by the ipod, so that to create a particular  style and image. We will involve several visual effects, and there will be different angles.
The camera itself will be presented as the life person, as the eyes of Valeria and as the third person.
The aim of our video will be to present the day of student in ironic way, to make it funny and cheerful.










week 7, Part one

As an out come of the the second class, we came up with the extensive story board of the video. To create it we made a research, and also were brainstorming on personal experiences.

 The story:
1) Waking up at 6:30. The camera = eyes of the main hero - we can see the hand showing the alarm to the face.
2) Way to bathroom - the camera follows, but when the hero gets to the toilet - he/she shuts the door in from of it.
3) The camera goes around the apartment to enter the bathroom from the other side, and there we see the hero brushing teeth.
4) Still being sleepy and grumpy the hero pushes away the camera and goes to the kitchen to have a breakfast - the camera follows and sits to the table in front of the hero. We see a table with food and some juice. One hand grabs a glass of juice, the other takes some bacon from the plate.
5)Dressing up and leaving the apartment - the camera stays in the apartment
6) The hero comes back home to take the bags of trash
7) The hero also remembers to take the camera with him to follow.
8) Want to go by bike but the tyre is flat... Has to walk then to bus stop
9) On the way we show people's faces etc, sights on the way - church, fountains etc.
10) Hero stops in front of the window to check the reflection.
11) Going to school by bus reading the book
12) Showing the sights that are passing by in the window
13) After getting out of the bus goes to buy some snacks - checks fruits but finally buys something not so healthy, like a sandwich. On the way mets friends...
14) Comes to video production class, works on dittoing the video.
15) Checking the timetable - 2h gap... zoom in
16) Thinking what to do during the gap. Goes to the library and studies - checks time all the time but the times goes to slowly.
18) finally is getting to the lesson - lecture in Theatre Hall. While it really looks like heroes are studying, really we can see that there are doodling all the time in the notebook.
19) Goes eating to the canteen - scene similar to the breakfast one - eating 2-3 from the same plate.
20) Working in a team in the residence hall. While it looks like a serious discussion, actually the team is discussing what was first an egg or chicken.
21) going home by tram
22) scenes again
23) going shopping to the market
24) buying a lot of things, showing empty wallet, leaving the market overloaded with things etc.
25) leaving all the things at home, grabbing the sport bag and going to yoga class
27) The yoga instructor is showing 4-5 very difficult postures, the main hero cannot do those - gets frustrated.
29) Cooking at home - chickens on bottles.
30) Putting the table together - a lot of food and wine - a lot of people too. everyone is eating. In the end showing a huge belly of someone - the camera moves and we can see that all the people on the table are hardly seating of being totally full:) carrying the plates to the kitchen and washing all of them - everyone abandons 1 person to wash all the plates.
32) The main hero is getting out of the showed with a towel on the head and falls on the bed - to tired...
33) With the final second of the song we can see a hand crossing one of the days on the calendar.

We plan to shoot almost all the scenes, and include those , which were best in the video.
The music in 3:33 minute long, which means we have more than enoguh space for at least 2/3 from our list
